Fire Emblem Sealed Sword in english?
I don’t know much about the deeper aspects of emulators, and cannot seem to find an english translation of Fire Emblem 6. I have been trying to find a translation patch to run on my VisualBoyAdvance emulator, but I a). don’t understand how to make a patch work and b). can’t seem to find a patch in the first place, as all links found here leading to patches appear to be broken.
Detailed help would be appreciated!
No worries, it’s actually easier that you might think~
Do you have the ROM? If you don’t, you can find it on http://www.romulation.net/
(Search for: Fire Emblem – Fuuin no Tsurugi)
As you already know, the ROM is in Japanese; so you’ll need to download the fan translation patch from here –> http://serenesforest.net/general/patch.html

*Note: Serenes Forest is a wonderful fan-site for all your FE needs. They’ve also got translation patches for the SNES FE titles, if you’re interested.*
Once you have the ROM and the patch, you’ll need to place the 2 files together in the same folder and give them the same name. Only the file type (.gba for the ROM and .ips for the patch) should be different. So if your ROM file is called FireEmblem6.GBA, for example, make sure the patch is renamed into FireEmblem6.ips.
That’s it — now just run the game as you normally would and it should be in English! FE6 may not be the greatest in terms of development, but it certainly does have an interesting cast of characters and a very touching storyline. If you liked FE7, I’m sure you will enjoy this one too; so consider ordering it if you can, if just for the sake of owning the original! (;
